Hot Topic: High Hopes For Mumbai Tata Towers
Mumbai, the second most populous city, has been having trouble in the public transportation department lately. These troubles have led to people purchasing their own vehicles, essentially taking up more space than needed, leaving less room for parks and housing. This is where the Tata Tower comes in.
The Tata Tower, a residential community that will house 930 employees of the largest automaker in India, with a vertical parking structure for their electric rides; room for 4,050 parking spaces. The tower will solve the scarcity of green space caused by vehicles purchased, as well as, house the growing population. It will feature solar power, which will provide energy to recharge the vehicles. The designers hope that the Tata Tower will provide India, and other countries, the blueprint of becoming more efficient.

How to Go Green with Your Garage Door
Many homeowners are choosing to make the most out their homes by turning certain aspects green.

Energy efficient garage doors are opening up in many neighborhoods across the country and, in the long run they will benefit not only you wallet, but your home and family. Here are some things to know and look out for when choosing your new green garage door.
Coatings
No matter what, you will need to make sure the manufacturer applies a finish, as well as, disposes excess finish. This will not only cut the maintenance required for keeping the door in good shape, it will determine just how “green” your door is.
Renewable Materials
The content of the garage door can be made up of renewable products, recyclable products, or both. Depending on what you choose, whether it is wood, steel or vinyl, you should make sure the installers/distributors know what makes your door green. You will find that most companies also dispose of your old door in a green way.
To Insulate or Not
Keeping your home warm is very important, especially in cold zones. Make sure that the R-Value is higher, for that means the insulation is better and will heat the surrounding living spaces. It also scores higher on the energy efficient scale, if your door is insulated well. Check with your manufacturer for the exact R-Value.

Green Buildings Make For More Healthier, Productive Employees
A Michigan State University study revealed that moving one's workplace from a conventional building to a green building is not only good for the environment but, it is also good for one's health and work performance.

A recent study by four Michigan State University researchers found that employees who moved from their conventional building to a green building experienced less absences due to a decrease of allergies, depression, and stress. This resulted in higher productivity due to the improvements the employees had experienced with their well-being.
What Was Done
In Lansing, Michigan, researchers followed a total of 263 employees through a two case study during the building move. The two buildings, where the employees relocated to, were the highest and third highest rated Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) buildings. The researchers came to the conclusion that the switching of buildings had improved overall health by administering web surveys to the employees. The surveys showed a significant raise in perceived improvements of the health and well-being of the employees. The report also noted that employees perceived that their new work environment had a positive effect on their productivity.
The Future
The team wants to follow the results that they have found with further research. The results could have been affected by seasonal changes, or the Hawthorne Effect, which results in the excitement of working in a new environment overall. However, it does seems like the greener ones environments is the healthier and happier one becomes.

Walmart To Turn Waste Into Pet Products
Walmart and Sam's Club have partnered with Worldwise to create a groundbreaking sustainable product partnership called Full Circle.

Sam's Club and Walmart have teamed up with a sustainable living brand to create a recyclable program called Full Circle. Full Circle utilizes materials that were used within Walmart/ Sam's Club locations and turns them into pet products. The program is called Full Circle and will recycle plastic bottles, plastic hangers, plastic bags and cardboard used every day by associates and customers into products your pets use daily.
Full Circle helps Walmart and Sam's Club not only recycle but it also is a brilliant new way to create eco-friendly affordable pet products. Recycled plastic bottles end up becoming your pets favorite bed stuffing and plastic hangers become litter boxes and scoops.
This program not only has appeal to pet lovers but also appeals to the everyday environmental enthusiast. According to Worldwise, PoochPlanet pet beds sold in the next year will reuse the almost 25,000,000 plastic bottles from Walmart and Sam's Clubs.
